No kidding, this green smoothie tastes like fruit punch! It’s not red. True. But don’t judge the flavor by the color. Pretty sure it has to do with the cherries and the dark greens I used! Making a green smoothie part of your daily routine is the best thing you can do for yourself! So treat yourself!
Remember when making smoothies, you can adjust any smoothie to your liking (sweetness, texture, etc.). If you are thinking your blender isn’t good enough, I’m here to help! I have instructions for 2 types of blenders below.
- 2/3 cup cherries
- ½ frozen banana
- 2 slices frozen peaches
- 2-4 handfuls green*
- ½ cup water
*Use whatever greens you have. I used baby spinach & raw collard green leaves.
If using a high quality blender (such as a vitamix or ninja): Add all of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
If using a not-so high quality blender (such as an oaster, etc.): Add the liquid base first then add the ingredients in one by one to ensure the smooth is as smooth as possible!
