Snack Time: Cherry on Top &Coco Buttercup Rice Cakes

Snack time is one of my favorite times of day. By the time I am ready for a snack, I’ve had about 1-liter of water and a green smoothie or smoothie bowl, i.e. breakfast! I usually have fruit as a snack but on this particular day I was craving something more annnnnnd these were born! Most people think rice cakes are no tasty. Here’s the thing, you get plain rice cakes and put topping on them! Trust me, it’s amazing and crunchy and full of flavor! These can also be a great after school snack for kids or mid-day snack at the office. I recommend keeping the toppings separate. Love in every crunch!

Cherry on Top Rice Cake

Cherry on Top Ingredients

  • 1 Brown Rice Cake
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 5 dark cherries
  • 2 tsp hemp seeds


  1. Pit all of the cherries and discard the seeds.
  2. Spread the almond butter and add the cherries on top.
  3. Top with hemp seeds.
  4. Enjoy!

Coco Buttercup Rice Cake

Coco Buttercup Ingredients

  • 1 Brown Rice Cake
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp coconut flakes

  1. Spread the almond butter on top of the rice cake.
  2. Top with coconut flakes and chocolate chips.
  3. Enjoy!
